THE HOUSE

Watano House is a large, spacious beach-front villa situated in the centre of Diani beach, 30km south of Mombasa. It can sleep 14, in 7 bedrooms. It has 4 ensuite bedrooms downstairs in 2 separate wings. Each room has a ceiling fan and 3 rooms have air conditioning. Being right on the beach air conditioning is not necessary for most people. Mosquito nets are in all rooms. Downstairs the house sleeps 8 comfortably.

Watano House is one of the oldest houses along Diani beach. The rest of the world simply fades away when you drive into the beautiful gardens and take in the ocean views. The house is simply but tastefully furnished and is somewhere you can completely relax.

LIVING ROOM

There is a large living/dining area and a sea-facing veranda running the length of the house. There is an open air BBQ area as well as a seated “chill out” area outside. Sun loungers and giant bean bags look out on to the sea and palms fill the gardens around the beautiful infinity pool.The house has a fully equipped kitchen and walk in cold store and also a generator, so that you remain blissfully unaware of any power cuts.

STAFF

There are 4 house staff and 3 gardeners. Security is taken very seriously with a team of day and night askaris, 6 beloved Rottweilers and Security Group 4 panic buttons. Bedding and towels are provided. The house is a 5 minute walk from the main shopping centre. The staff are fully trained to do your shopping, cooking, cleaning and laundry. Fishermen come to the kitchen door if you would like fresh fish.
